A lot of thought goes into the design of a wedding invitation and after the event is over, it's nice to have a special way to preserve that special announcement that becomes so full of sentiment. This is the most recent wedding collage that I made and I'm so happy that it was for my niece and her groom. It was one of the most unique invitations I've seen. Because there was decorative design on the back of the invitation as well as the front, I had my mother mail me her invitation so that I could display both sides.

I love New York, I love dragonflies and I love paper shops. So, after stumbling upon Paper Presentation in Chelsea during my recent trip to NYC, I just had to celebrate my great paper find by creating a dragonfly! What would you have done?

Therapy
I don't know whether or not you've guessed this, but making collaged note cards is therapeutic for me. Whether I'm using it as a studio warm up or specifically spending an entire studio session making note cards, I find that I can truly escape into the right side of my brain and put these together without thinking. I rummage through all my scraps and start assembling by color and shape. And then, of course, comes lots of glitter! You know I love glitter.
And I use these cards, too. For birthdays, anniversaries, thank you's, condolences. And I also include a free note card with every Etsy purchase! ;)
Although I make them available for purchase at my art shows for $5.00 a piece, they are not available online. Sorry.

Art Of The City Part 3
Last October I visited New York City and published two blog posts named "Art Of The City" and "Art Of The City Part 2." A year later, I'm here again having new adventures. The following are photos I've taken over the last several days. No captions, just visual treats.
