Time Travel

I find it fun to travel back in time and find photos that are interesting to enhance. The original for this enhanced photo was taken at Longwood Gardens in December of 2011. It was a very special day.

Pajama Day

It's truly hard for me to slow down; and it's especially difficult for me to stop. I don't know when I became that way because as a young adult, I always felt as though I was a bit lazy. Somehow that all changed and I very rarely make the time to read a good book or just sit on the deck and contemplate nature. This is not good. One way I've thought of to help slow myself down a bit is to declare one day a week as Pajama Day. The theory is that I stay in my pajamas all day, thus taking it easy and theoretically never leaving the house.

In reality, I haven't totally succeeded in this. I usually succumb to more civilized urges and get dressed in the early afternoon. But... I'm making progress. Hopefully this week I can make it go a whole day!

Rethink the Pink

A recent addition to our pre-lit Christmas trees at work has given me fits. In fact, I got to the point that I couldn't stand looking at it and I decided I had to do something about it.

The tree itself is pretty; nice limbs, nice shape. But, the lights! They are the standard colored Christmas lights with red, green, blue and yellow-gold bulbs, but the manufacturer decided to throw one more color into the mix... pink! My mind just can't reconcile it.

This photo shows my attempt at dealing with it. I decided to decorate it in silver, gold, clear crystal and white ornaments with a silvery leaf garland. Gold floral picks and three white silk magnolias serve as the tree topper. Using colored ornaments was more than my optical nerves could handle.

The brightly colored displays of T-shirts on the left and greeting cards on the right are not the perfect backdrop for this tree, but I'm liking it better than I did previously.

And the cat posing below it helps make it look better, too! :D

Christmas Designs

A Tangled Christmas Tree

Working at a Christmas shop, I'm only too aware of how close Christmas really is. 71 days from today to be exact! So, in anticipation I've created new greeting cards for this year's holiday season. And I've put my designs on coffee mugs and beer steins, too. Have a look and you may find the perfect gift for someone on your list.

Is Nothing Sacred?

Apparently, anything blank is fair game for me when it comes to Tangy Zoodling. At work I found a forgotten box of plain, white Christmas tree ball-shaped ornaments in the back room and I just began tangling them. I've pictured three of them here. There's still one more just waiting to be defaced.
This, of course, is a blank ball. The glass is frosted so it's not quite opaque and light shines through it.
This is my first attempt. Stars and glitter.
This is my second attempt; Christmas trees and stars and, of course, glitter.
My third attempt is a poinsettia-like flower with cherries and, wait for this... glitter!

Savannah Secret Gardens

One of my favorite retail establishments in Savannah is Savannah Secret Gardens. They carry the beautiful and the unusual all year round and rarely can I make a visit without bringing home some treasure with me. Here are a few photos as they prepare for the Christmas season.

Holiday Note Cards

To see more designs, click here!
I've created some note cards for the 2012 Holiday Season. They're note cards and not greeting cards because they are blank on the inside to allow you to write your own personal greeting to the recipient. And the can be purchased either in boxes of 10 or boxes of 20. Unfortunately, Cafe Press does not allow for mixing or matching; at least not this year. :(

I hope you like these designs!
