I frequently find that I'm drawn to biological and botanical illustrations. I love them! They are perfection (which I am not) and often delicately colored. Every once in awhile, I like to create an interpretation in collage of these illustrations and "Rainbow Trout" is a case in point. To be honest, I'm kind of pleased with this little guy!

Magenta Series #6

"Blue On Blue" - 11x14 - Mixed Media Collage

The final piece in the series of collages that all began with magenta canvases. This one was the most difficult and very nearly ended up being destroyed. A last ditch effort to unify the background by painting it cerulean blue made the difference between life and death for this bird. ;)

Georgia's Swans

At last! I promised my 8-year-old niece, Georgia, that I'd do a collage featuring swans and I'm happy to say that I've complied at last. I love swans so I'm not sure why I never did one earlier. But here it is! I hope you like it, Georgia.
