Digital Painting

Inspired by the digital artwork of Israeli artist, Ish Gordon, I had to try my own hand at digital painting. Of course, as all my artist friends know, I experiment, always, by using a pear as my subject. And here is, Pear Number 1, a digital painting.

Pear Number 1, available at Society 6

Obviously, I have a long way to go! :D

Bowl Of Cherries - Digital Collage

Maybe I have just a little too much fun with technology, but making digital collages is something I just love to do. The image above is the marriage of the two images below.

Pink

Exploring the concept of digital art journaling. I'm part of an art journaling group on Facebook and I'm learning all kinds of things from this group. It has been such an inspiration to me.

Georgia and Bomomo

"Bomomo In Pink" by Georgia May Copland

My niece, Georgia, has recently discovered the fun of Bomomo. (Gee, I wonder how she learned about that! ;) ) And this is her first attempt!

As much fun as I have with bomomo as an adult, I love seeing what kids can do with it. The site has no instructions, so while adults struggle with what to do and what is "correct," kids just go wild with it and their free spirits are set free.

Make sure you give it a try, or at least show it to your kids or grandkids. Bomomo!

White Butterflies Digital Collage

"White Butterflies" - Digital Collage
I'm visiting with my son who lives in Brooklyn and occasionally find that I have a little time to kill in the mornings. I decided this is a perfect time to work on some digital collages which I haven't done in awhile. This new one is definitely Brooklyn inspired. There's a wonderful coffee shop located near the Graham Street subway station and it has this great wallpaper in it. The moment I saw it I just knew it would make the perfect background for a digital collage.

The butterflies came from a recent note card that I created.

I love the way my laptop becomes my studio when I can't be in my studio!

Zinnia & Butterflies

It's been awhile since I've created and posted a digital collage. I love doing these. They make a nice diversion from all the sticky stuff! :)
